The cutting table of the SMART Compact X offers a generous working area of 3,040 x 1,520 mm, making it ideally suited for the cost-effective processing of standard sheet metal sizes. Thanks to its robust construction, the table can accommodate workpieces weighing up to 1,350 kg. This enables safe and precise processing even of heavy sheet metal and ensures high process stability in daily use. Safety concept: Protection of operating personnel

The SMART Compact X’s safety concept combines high productivity with comprehensive operator protection. The fully enclosed laser gantry prevents laser radiation from escaping the processing area, while two easily accessible emergency stop switches on both sides of the gantry enable quick intervention in any situation. A proven Pilz safety system, which monitors all safety-related functions of the system, also ensures maximum operational safety.

The concept is complemented by photoelectric sensors surrounding the machine, which secure the work area and automatically stop the system as soon as a person enters the defined danger zone. In this way, the SMART Compact X ensures a high level of safety while offering optimal accessibility and easy material handling.

The high-performance sources are available for the SMART Giant with power outputs of 12, 15, 20, and 30 kW and guarantee first-class cutting quality, stability, and efficiency. Integrated protection mechanisms against back reflections and real-time monitoring ensure maximum reliability in continuous operation.

The SMART Compact X impresses with high-quality components and delivers precise cutting results on a wide range of components. The sensor technology integrated in the cutting head ensures stable and consistently high process quality, even in continuous multi-shift operation.

The laser system is suitable for cutting structural steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and copper, among other materials. Depending on the laser source used and the material, material thicknesses of up to 30 mm can be achieved.

Remote diagnostics

With a control system and extensive remote maintenance modules, we offer the best basis for fast and competent help via remote dial-in.

Almost all electronic components can be diagnosed and evaluated. This means that in more than 90 percent of all cases, machine downtimes can be eliminated quickly and easily without the need for a service technician on site.

The TWINCUT S80 CNC control system takes over the complete control of all cutting components and the associated peripherals. It is equipped as standard with a user-friendly HMI (Human Machine Interface), which can be conveniently controlled via a 21.5" touchscreen or an ergonomic hand-held operating device.

The clear graphical user interface enables intuitive operation and quick familiarization for users. The control system is based on a robust industrial PC, which is integrated together with all other control components in a separate control cabinet. The power and signal lines are routed in a secure cable duct.

To ensure optimum cutting quality, the control system features fast automatic height control for a constant distance to the workpiece and CNC-controlled compensation mechanisms for precise laser focus positioning.

The following functions are also integrated as standard:

  • Sheet metal layer detection for automatic alignment of the cutting process
  • Smart Piercing for optimized piercing processes
  • Smart Laser Off to reduce unproductive times
